Rode draad door mijn carrière is het doen van economisch onderzoek. Inmiddels doe ik dit al meer dan 10 jaar voor de bouw- en vastgoedsector, waarbij ik kijk naar hoe deze sectoren zich in de toekomst gaan ontwikkelen en welke systeemveranderingen nodig zijn. Het leukste aan mijn werk vind ik het vertalen van complexe, economische vraagstukken naar eenvoudige analyses waarmee ik mijn collega’s, klanten en anderen verder kan helpen. Ik hou ervan om nuance aan te brengen, maar schuw een duidelijke mening niet. Ik doe dit door het doen van presentaties, schrijven van publicaties en als columnist. Ook vertaal ik mijn visie op trends en ontwikkelingen naar de strategie van het bedrijf. Hierbij staat het analyseren van data centraal, als middel niet het doel.

    Austerlitz Zorgt is een zorgcoöperatie en burgercollectief in het dorp Austerlitz, van en voor de inwoners van Austerlitz. De coöperatie heeft tot doel het voor oudere inwoners van Austerlitz mogelijk te maken zo lang mogelijk zelfstandig in het dorp te blijven wonen. In de toekomst wordt dit uitgebreid naar het levensloopbestendig maken van het dorp voor jongeren en gezinnen. Austerlitz Zorgt is een van de oudste zorgcoöperaties van Nederland.
